Writer-producer Jason Evigan has quickly become known for his big hooks, masterful use of dynamics and innovative sound design.
He’s recently had a huge Global hit with Maroon 5’s “What Lovers Do”, which he produced and co-wrote. In addition, Jason produced “Lips On You” and “Girls Like You” for M5’s new album, Red Blue Pills. Evigan offers artists and co-writers a unique, wide range of skills - being both an innovative producer and an excellent topliner. He brings a laid-back approach to sessions - believing creative success begins with personal chemistry. “Before a session, I like to hang out a little with the artist or co-writer, maybe grab coffee or a quick bite to eat,” he says. “What we do together as songwriters is so intimate and personal, it’s great to have that foundation of ease to start from.”
Jason launched to the forefront of in-demand producers with his co-production of Demi Lovato’s “Heart Attack” - a Top 5 double platinum single. Evigan followed that with Jason Derulo’s smash single “Talk Dirty”, which he co-wrote. This single hit #1 in the US, UK, Germany & Australia - and was quadruple platinum in the US. His next success was a #1 single in the UK “Lovers In The Sun”, which he co-wrote with David Guetta. Jason went on to co-produce Guetta’s follow up single “Dangerous”, a smash in multiple territories. Jason also produced the double-platinum hit "Chains" for Nick Jonas and co-wrote "Heartbeat Song" for Kelly Clarkson, which went platinum.
In addition to his chart success, Jason’s music has recently been a part of three blockbuster movies. Notably, Kehlani’s platinum single “Gangsta” & Skylar Grey’s “Wreak Havoc” for the Suicide Squad smash soundtrack. Also, Nick Jonas’ “Bom Didi Bom” from 50 Shades Darker, as well as Kehlani’s gold single “Good Life” and Lil Yachty’s “Mamacita” from The Fate of the Furious Soundtrack.
Prior to his career as a writer-producer, Evigan was the lead singer of After Midnight Project. Though he came up in the alt-rock scene, his palette is expansive - encompassing genres such as hip-hop, R&B, pop, rock, metal, EDM and singer-songwriter.
