Martin Sjølie

Martin Sjølie is a Norwegian songwriter & producer best known as the main collaborator behind the phenomenal Norwegian singer/songwriter Maria Mena. He has written and produced songs for artists all over the world, including Italian San Remo winner Marco Mengoni, The Wanted star Nathan Sykes and New Zealand X Factor winner Jackie Thomas. He has also enjoyed a string of hits with Norwegian pop darlings Eva & The Heartmaker and Tone Damli.


Coming from a gospel music background & playing and directing music from a young age he later studied at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Martin is an accomplished and versatile musician and songwriter who has in addition to writing many a pop hit also played keyboards on numerous albums and tours.

Though Martin is based in Oslo he travels regularly to London and collaborates with writers such as Iain James, Karen Poole, Dave Gibson, GRADES, Tom Havelock, Rachel Furner amongst others.
He has worked with Sam Smith, Ella Henderson, RAYE, Rae Morris, Nina Nesbitt, M.O., Harry Foxx & has upcoming cuts with Charlotte OC, Melissa Steel, GRADES, Chloe Curran & The Voice UK winner Stevie McCrorie.
