Tom Tripp is back with his first new song in over a year with “TAM”. The single, released Friday, July 18th was co-written by Coffee and GRADES, and also produced by GRADES. This single is the first taste of Tom Tripp’s upcoming EP FLAG.
According to The Fader, “TAM” is a song that’s been in the works for a while. Tripp put an early version of the track on Soundcloud four years ago, and after many requests from his fans decided to finalize the track in time for his new EP with the help of the esteemed AAM artists Coffee and GRADES. Tripp describes the song as a “transition between my old scratchy funk sound and my new sound which is more like dark pop/RnB” and that it’s heavily inspired by Daft Punk. With Tom Tripp’s presence in the UK dance scene this track is sure to make big waves on both sides of the pond.
This track adds to the already extensive discographies of both Coffee and GRADES. Coffee has recently co-written on Lizzo’s new album Cuz I Love You, which reached #6 on the Billboard 200, along with Jess Glynne’s new album Always In Between. GRADES has been working with other expanding UK artists, recently he produced nearly all the tracks on NAO’s Saturn who are also signed to Little Tokyo, the same label as Tom Tripp. He also recently produced Raleigh Ritchie’s new single “Time in a Tree”
