Greg Wells Produces the New Carrie Underwood Album, My Gift

As the last of summer’s sun shines on us this fall, Christmas bells jingle in the distance. Three months from Christmas day, September 25th, Carrie Underwood released her long-awaited holiday album, My Gift. AAM Client, songwriter, and Grammy-winning producer Greg Wells took the helm of this project, producing and arranging the album while AAM’s Serban Ghenea headed up its mixing. The tracks, balanced and poignant, mark a needed return to comfort after a difficult year, a sentiment especially seen on the original track, “Hallelujah,” featuring Underwood and John Legend, co-written by AAM client Toby Gad.

Primarily working on the tracks over Zoom, the compilation of the album stands as hope, too, in the ability for our musicians to come together despite difficult circumstances and create something special. In an album trailer shared in July, Underwood discussed the album and the motives behind the project: “Even though it has been a tough year for all of us, sometimes I feel like the greatest realizations can be inspired by the most difficult times, and make us more grateful for the things we do have and for what truly matters.” My Gift is available now on all streaming platforms!
