Jonas Jeberg Wins BMI Award

When it comes to making a hit, AAM songwriter and producer, Jonas Jeberg, has the magic touch. On October 10th, BMI hosted their 2016 London Awards, recognizing and honoring some of today’s most celebrated songwriters such as Sting and Ed Sheeran. Jonas was among these massive names as an award winner for co-writing Fifth Harmony’s pop anthem, “Sledgehammer,” which topped the pop charts back in 2014 and has since officially gone platinum. Though his BMI award is an incredible honor, it is far from Jonas’s first big success in music. In fact, he has an extensive history of writing and producing smash hits for artists like The Pussycat Dolls, Demi Lovato, Jason Derulo, Jordin Sparks, and Nicki Minaj – and he’s still at it! On October 7th, “Don’t Let Me Down” singer, Daya, released her debut solo album, Sit Still, Look Pretty, which was co-written by Jonas. Though it has not yet been released as a single, “Words,” one of the songs he wrote for the album, has been distinguished as such a stand-out track on the album that even the founder of Daya’s label, Artbeatz, claimed that the song packs “an even more immediate hook than any of her hits so far” and that it “will be the next single from the new album.” Considering the last two singles off the album, “Hide Away” and “Sit Still, Look Pretty,” both went platinum and topped the Billboard charts, we’re sure “Words” would be yet another smash hit to add to Jonas’s repertoire! Jonas also co-wrote "In Case You Missed It", "We Are", and "Dare" from Sit Still, Look Pretty
