Katy Perry wrote the song with Greg Wells and Ferris Alqaisi last year as an Amazon Music exclusive. This year, the song is available on all streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal.

To promote the single for this holiday season,Katy Perry teased the music video on her social media. Perry brings out the Christmas spirit in various fashions: styling her hair in ornaments resembling a Christmas tree, wearing a 60's inspired outfit while drinking a shot of eggnog, and switching to a slow claymation character. The music video is based on a holiday influenced by classic movies, such as Rudolph The Red Nose Reindeer, Will Vinton’s A Claymation Christmas Celebration, and others. The music video perfectly showcases Katy Perry’s campy aesthetics while tapping into holiday traditions and references.
