Little Mix just stepped down from their reign at #1 of the Official UK Albums Chart in which their album Glory Days stayed for 5 weeks. One of the album’s hit songs, “FU” was produced by AAM’s multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated production duo Kuya, and co-written by Kuya and AAM’s Jean Baptiste, one of the music industry’s most prolific songwriters. The leading single, “Shout Out to My Ex” was mixed by AAM’s reputable Grammy winner Serban Ghenea. The track was first performed by the group on The X Factor before it was released to become the group’s 4th chart topping single selling 67,000 downloads in its opening week. Glory Days was released on November 18, 2016 where it debuted at #1 on the charts, becoming Little Mix’s very first UK number one album.
Kuya, Jean-Baptiste, and Serban Ghenea contributed to Glory Days becoming “the longest reigning Number 1 by all-female act since the Spice Girls’ record-setting debut” in 1996. Aside from their reign at #1 on the UK Charts, Glory Days is the fastest-selling number one album by any girl group since Destiny Child’s Survivor 15 years ago. Serban Ghenea is no stranger to Little Mix as he also mixed the group’s previous hit single “Black Magic” in 2015 and singles “Word Up!” in 2014 and “Little Me” in 2013, to name a few. Clearly, the collaborations have proven to be quite successful!
