Have Mercy has officially announced their fourth full-length album, The Love Life, produced by Matt Squire, which will be released on August 2, 2019. Along with this announcement came the release of their lead single, “Clair.”
This album marks a new phase of Have Mercy’s music: “This record is probably the most personal record since our first release. I wrote it to talk about everything I went through the last couple of years and how I as feeling during all of it. I want people to know that it’s okay to be vulnerable and ask for help,” said singer and guitarist, Brian Swindle. With this message and after their third album, Make The Best of It, reached the Billboard charts in 2017, this is a record not to be missed.
Matt Squire worked with the band during the three-week recording process to ensure that this album showcases all elements of their unique sound, whether it be the “intricate guitar lines or Swindle’s visceral vocal performances” (Vents Magazine).
While this is Matt Squire’s first time working with Have Mercy, in the past he has worked with successful rock and alternative groups like Panic! At the Disco, All Time Low, The Maine, and The Used.
