After gaining steady popularity since its release, M-Phazes' track "Messiah" with Alison Wonderland - written and mixed by AAM artists Trey Campbell and Erik Madrid, respectively - has officially hit #3 on the Australian triple J's Hit List! Its ranking places it between hits by Maggie Rogers and The xx, a fitting pairing considering the star power behind the track. It also beats out favorites like "I Feel It Coming" by The Weeknd (at #15) and "Redbone" by Childish Gambino (at #9). "Messiah" was released on November 28th, and is M-Phazes' first single off his long-awaited new album, due to drop this year. Madrid will be mixing the rest of the album, as well. The track has over 80,000 plays on YouTube from Alison Wonderland's official account and over 10,000 plays from inclusions on other YouTube playlists and artist feature accounts. This buzz only adds to the excitement around Madrid, who mixed six tracks on BJ the Chicago Kid's new album In My Mind, nominated for a Grammy for the Best R&B Album, and Campbell, whose own co-writing credits are climbing steadily.
