Serban Ghenea and Adele Take Home Album of The Year for 25

Last night AAM’s Serban Ghenea took home his 9th Grammy award! This was Serban’s first time working with Adele, which was clearly a success as they won Album of the Year for her album 25. Serban was the master behind the sound to smash hits “Send My Love” and “Water Under the Bridge” which were both featured singles from the album. “Send My Love” reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on both the Billboard Adult Top 40 and Mainstream Top 40. Meanwhile, “Water Under the Bridge” has so far reached #26 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #4 on the Adult Top 40. Serban has mixed over 150 #1 singles and albums to date, and that number only continues to grow! 25 also won for Best Pop Vocal Album. Other nominees in the category include, Ariana Grande’s Dangerous Woman which Serban mixed in its entirety and Demi Lovato’s Confident in which he mixed 9 out of 11 tracks. He has previously mixed tracks for other Grammy winning albums, such as Justin Timberlake’s Justified and Kelly Clarkson’s Stronger. Adele and Serban had some tough competition this year running up against Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Drake, and Sturgill Simpson, but their win proved that we shouldn’t worry or doubt their excellence! Serban has become the master of catchy sounds deeming his Grammy win beyond worthy, yet-again.
