AAM’s own superstar mixer, Serban Ghenea, has once again scored himself yet another #1 hit! On October 16th, the British pop girl-group, Little Mix, released their newest single, “Shout Out to My Ex,” after performing it live on The X Factor. The single was mixed entirely by Serban, and was released to massive commercial and critical acclaim – officially debuting at #1 on the UK Official Singles Chart! This is Little Mix’s fourth release to top the Singles Chart, along with “Black Magic,” “Cannonball” and “Wings,” and is only the third song of the entire year to debut at #1 directly, establishing it as the year’s most powerful break-up anthem. According to the Huffington Post, Serban’s talent behind the soundboard shines bright, creating a “catchy,” “sassy” and “stunning” tune that is “dripping in confidence” – especially during an acapella segment in which “their voices together sound AMAZING.” Only four days following its release, “Shout Out to My Ex” already boasted an incredible 95,000 sales, and has since accumulated over 16 million plays on Spotify and over 20 million views on YouTube – “the biggest opening week…for a song this year,” according to the UK Official Charts Company. The track is the first single off of Little Mix’s upcoming album, Glory Days, which will be released on November 18th by Syco Music and Columbia Records. However, Serban is not the only hand AAM has in this project. Many other AAM writers and producers, such as Jean Baptiste, Michael McHenry, and Kuya, also worked on the album – and considering how well Serban’s work on “Shout Out to My Ex” performed, it’s undeniable that they’re putting the “glory” in Glory Days.
