Serban Ghenea is no stranger to the Grammys. With a past of twenty-one Grammy nominations and nine wins, Ghenea boasts a prolific and rewarding career as one of the most in-demand mix engineers of his time. A wide-range of highly celebrated artists, such as Michael Jackson, Justin Timberlake, Faith Hill and Beyoncé, have all sought out Ghenea’s masterful and innovative expertise. Ghenea reached new milestones this year collaborating with today’s hottest artists The Weeknd and Bruno Mars to craft the hits that took over 2017’s top charts. Bruno Mars’ 24k Magic has been certified as double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), with his two singles “That’s What I like” and “24k Magic” earning four times platinum certificates. The Weeknd’s Starboy also proved to be a huge success, debuting at number one on Billboard's Canadian Albums Chart, as well as reaching certified double platinum. The 60th annual Grammys this Sunday added 5 more wins to Ghenea’s long list of music awards thanks to these tracks. 24k Magic earned Ghenea 4 Grammys, including the coveted Album of the Year and Best Engineered Non-Classical Album.
