2016 is shaping up to be an amazing year for AAM’s Julia Michaels. Not only has she written hit after hit for some of pop music’s biggest names, but the singer-songwriter is starting to step into the spotlight herself. At the closing ceremonies of the Rio Olympics, Michaels joined Norwegian DJ, Kygo, onstage to perform their hit “Carry Me” from Kygo’s new album Cloud Nine. Earlier this summer she also signed a new deal with Republic Records, the home of big names such as Ariana Grande, Jessie J, and Florence + the Machine. The 22-year-old’s most recent project was Britney Spears’ album Glory. She co-wrote five tracks on the album, as well as two more tracks on the deluxe version, including “Invitation,” “Just Luv Me,” “Do You Wanna Come Over,” and “Just Like Me.” Julia is currently in the Top 20 Billboard Pop Charts with Fifth Harmony's "All In My Head (Flex)". Earlier this year she co-wrote on two tracks from Nick Jonas’ album Last Year Was Complicated, including the hit single “Close,” as well as 10 of the 12 tracks on Gwen Stefani’s This Is What the Truth Feels Like. We can’t wait to see what else 2016 has in store for Julia Michaels!
